The IPG exists to empower independent film creators. The current board member, filmmakers all, donate their own time and work very hard to advance the interests of independent creators.

The IPG and it’s sister organization Stage And Screen Innovations are at growth stages. The work load on current leadership has expanded beyond their reasonable capability to serve. Yet the organizations missions are vital to the health of the independent filmmaking community.

YOU Want To Affect The Industry.

Being on one of the boards will give you hands-on power to affect the industry. The things you do will impact real people.

You will also reap the rewards of that work. You will grow your network of professionals and up-and-coming filmmakers. Like everything in life, you get out of it what you put in - but unlike some things in life, this one is designed to impact others as well. So what you do with the IPG and SSI will make a difference.

What Do We Need Covered?

We need help in the following areas:

Ongoing editing and updating of the IPG Members Handbook - setting out best practices, professional tips, production guidelines, contract templates, production checklists, etc. (IPG)
Foundational work for a pension and health plan for independent producers (IPG)
Membership expansion (IPG
Press releases and publicity (IPG & SSI)
Events and networking (IPG & SSI)
Ongoing educational and training (especially through SSI)
Donor Relations / Rainmaker (for SSI)
Grants assistant / Fundraising Administrator (For SSI)
Your Initiative To Better The Film Community (Tell Us!)

Time Commitment?

At least 2 hours a week volunteer time, up to 10.
