IPG& SSI Members Releasing New Series!

Uncharted Freedom Streams In September!

Here’s a quick update on the productions created with members of the IPG and the PUNC program!

As you know, PUNC is the “Producing Unique New Creators” program operated by the IPG’s sister 501(c)(3) Stage And Screen Innovations. PUNC identifies talented new creators who could change the world if they were given the chance to get the skills they need - and we help them to do it!

The program started formally in July with Uncharted Freedom - a 10 episode, unscripted documentary series about two women literally living life on the run. Uncharted Freedom is produced and production managed by IPG members, and by PUNC students admitted into the program at SSI.

Uncharted Freedom breaks new ground in production, true to the intentions of the PUNC program. It is a truly decentralized production: the production offices and Showrunners are in Los Angeles, Coordinator is in Kansas, Media & Press in Texas, our Assistant Story Producer was in San Francisco until last week (now in L.A.), our VFX person in Toronto - and the footage is show live on a 46 foot sailboat which as you read this is literally in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Episode One shooting has been completed and is in post. We project that Episodes will begin streaming near the end of September, actual date TBD. Streaming will be on the first beta version of FilmPod - the first practical iteration of the IPG’s “direct to audience initiative.”

And now… here is the first teaser for you!

This trailer, and a vertical version, are the first video promos for the series. They will be seen on YouTube, Instagram, X and more. In case your system does not let you see the embedded video above - here is the youtube link: https://youtu.be/2RL8zpqvzqg

Please like it on YouTube, subscribe, share and tell everyone about the show!

Want To Get Involved! You should - It’s Exciting!

The Uncharted Freedom show is manned by interns and the SSI organization. We are all volunteers, and the resources are donated by us, or by a few generous supporters. But as you know - series are a difficult and expensive process. We can use more qualified production assistants (we cannot put more PUNC members on this particular project as the mentoring aspects of that take copious amounts of our time), And of course we need funding! We need you help to keep the lights on and continue to move forward with the production (and others!)

All donations get a tax-deductible receipt! For more information on how to support us, contact Shadow Dragu-Mihai, and go to https://stagescreen.org/punc-uncharted-freedom

That’s all on this one - another newsletter will come out early in the next week!
