IPG WEBSITE UPDATES

We have been needing to revamp the IPG website for some time.

Over the next couple weeks, the site back end will be upgraded to current software. It will also have a sleek new look and feel.

At the same time, reflecting the direction the IPG has taken over the last couple years, new sections will be added. Some of these are:

• Resource sections - funding and film commission contacts, contract template library, and more.

• Online Members Handbook - the next version of the IPG Members Handbook will be accessible online, section by section, for easy reference on location from your mobile device.

• a jobs/gigs section

• Producers Groups, starting with HORRORxSCIFI, as a forum, along with other Producers Groups, all open to the public. This will be a great place to network with other creators in the same area as you, and to begin public outreach for your projects. This is YOUR industry. The IPG exists for the benefit of its members as film creators, first and foremost. Your involvement helps us to impact the professional independent industry. We need your input, your effort and your energy. If you are unable to commit any time, your membership dues help support the organization, and your tax-deductible donations to SSI do wonders.

You will want to attend this informational, fun set of meetings! They will outline IPG and SSI programs, highlight IPG member projects, and have fun networking opportunities. It is FREE to attend but you must register for the link! Registration will open this week. Since the IPG website will be down, it will be taken on the stagescreen.org site.

UPCOMING IN 2025

As 2024 closes out, we are looking towards the next phase of the IPG and SSI in 2025. Some of these are strictly non-profit activities (such as the PUNC program) and some of them have profit potential for IPG members who become involved (such as the Virtual Theatrical initiative and the FilmPod Corporation which will implement the first commercial phase of what was formerly called the Direct To Audience Initiative).
