This Is YOUR INDUSTRY
As a professional in film, this is your industry. The IPG is formed to help you take more control over your own career, and have an impact on the industry for yourself and for others. We welcome you to get involved in the work of the IPG. We rely on many hours of devotion from our administrative team which, at this point, is still volunteer in both the IPG and SSI. If you have ever wanted to be more hands on to help out, we always have things that you can do, and we also have ways for you to help forge new directions for others. Always, we thank everyone who supports the important work of the organization with your membership fees.
A reminder: the IPG website is now configured to allow members to be involved in offering professional services to the filmmaking community at large. People need producers at various levels, production managers, consultants and writers. We encourage everyone to go to an IPG member when they need professional work done. And we encourage IPG members to
SSI Updates
Aside from the website changes, more of which will come, we have received numerous benefits from Google/YouTube, including full access to Google Workspaces tools, and assistance with Google Ads campaigns for the Producing Unique New Creators (PUNC) program.
This is just the start! We invite you to join us in administering and promoting the Producing Unique New Creators program and the Virtual Theatrical arts initiative. These two ground-breaking programs will change the film making world.
Your help is always appreciated! You can help for FREE by following SSI in Instagram @stageandscreeninnovation or YouTube @stageandscreeninnovations and liking & sharing posts you see there. This helps spread the word!
You can also review the PUNC program particulars at stagescreen.org and tell people about it. It’s designed to find those who have the potential to succeed in and impact our industry, and give them the skills they need. You may know of someone talented who would capitalize on the kinds of producing skills we can give them. Send them to apply. You be, or you may know, potential sponsors of the PUNC program - talk to us! Your vision is their future.
UPCOMING IPG
1. FilmPods
The IPG continues to move forward! The month of April will see the formal announcement of FilmPods. FilmPods is the first public expression of the IPGs “Direct To Audience Intiative” and it is absolutely the next evolution in film distribution and finance.
If you have a film finished, or just getting organized, you need to know about FilmPods. If you have been wanting to be involved in distribution or film development, you need to know about FilmPods. If you ever want to produce a film and get it to an audience, you need to know about FilmPods. If you wan to be on the cutting edge of the film industry, you need to be involved with FilmPods.
FilmPods will have a series of introductory presentations and meetings in the near future. If you cannot wait to learn more, reach out to Shadow Dragu-Mihai at [email protected]
Members Handbook 2nd Edition
In early May, 2025 the 2nd revised and expanded edition of the Members Handbook will be available for IPG members. This edition reorganizes and expands the current handbook of Best Practices. It provides new and expanded sections in Set Safety, AI and more, and includes contract templates and production checklists for a variety of film formats.
The Handbook with templates and checklists will be available for all IPG members. General public will have access to the handbook but not the included additional resources.
3. Pension & Health, Production Insurance Plans
A long term goal has been IPG member P&H plans, and low cost production insurance. These are on the table for 2025. YOU are invited to get involved in making these happen.
There’s more to come in the near future!
