We've Gone PUNC!
IPG members move fast to keep up!
I hope this newsletter finds you well! Since moving into our new offices at the US Bank Tower in Los Angeles, the IPG has been moving faster than ever. Today we are sharing THREE pieces of news:
1. Online Open House December 16-20, 2024
Get To Know The IPG, Help Others Get To Know Us, Learn, Network & Have Fun!
We are hosting a week long Online Open House the week of December 16, 2024. The event is 5 days long, with a 90 minute online session starting at 11:30a.m. Pacific every day.
Each day we will have two short informative seminars by different IPG members and some of our outside consultants, some fun giveaways, and break-out rooms which can go as long as people like.
To attend, you will have to register (it’s free), and a link will be sent before the event. The registration link will be sent out via the next news letter and be on the IPG website next week.
If you are interested in presenting - or in sponsoring the event, or in helping to promote it (please!) contact Shadow Dragu-Mihai at [email protected]
2. Taxation Year 2024 Ends Soon - Get Your Tax Deductible Receipt NOW.
The IPG oversees two valuable charitable initiatives, through the 501(c)(3) Stage And Screen Innovations (SSI). These are the Virtual Theatrical program (which you may already be familiar with) and the Producing Unique New Creators (PUNC) program, detailed below. These programs are expansive and important.
The visionaries behind these initiatives have spent countless hours developing these programs. We are finally moving into practical implementation of both. Both need your support, to the extent you can help, in financial assistance, promotional partnerships, or volunteer time.
We are planning our national fundraising goals for 2025 to be in the multi-million dollar range. These will come from various sources including government and private grants, promotional sponsors, and corporate and individual gifts.
For the moment, we need thousands. We have been doing everything ourselves, in addition to administering the IPG and working our own careers. Now, we need to hire a couple of assistants and undertake some important marketing efforts. We can also can take advantage of some significant charity discounts for very useful online services which help us with outreach and promotion, if we can cover up-front costs.
We ask therefore if you are able, to donate to SSI in any sum from $50 on up to the four and five figure amounts. You already know about the Virtual Theatrical program. Below are details of the skills development program, PUNC.

3. Introducing PUNC - Producing Unique New Creators!
As you know, we’ve been working on a skills development program since the inception of the IPG. We are now launching it under the program name Producing Unique New Creators, or PUNC.
PUNC trains talented aspiring young producers and directors, in a hands-on work environment, and gives them a very advanced boost into the motion picture and theatre industries.
We had our first applicants interview for a place in the program this last week!
PUNC has a full curriculum planned out and being put together now. It is administered through the 501(c)(3) Stage And Screen Innovations, and overseen by the IPG.
PUNC is now applying for grants and talking with various sponsors for support and promotional partnerships. We cannot tell you who yet - but they are big.
YOU should be part of this program. High profile sponsors are amazing, of course, but every important organization requires grass-roots support from people like you, both financially and in volunteer time.
Your support for PUNC will be an invaluable gift to future filmmakers who might never have the opportunity to express themselves and enrich our culture, or to make a living in their chosen profession. Your gift at any level - and whether in cash, in-kind, or in time, makes a difference to the future of the industry you love, and the economic and creative environment of our communities.
The PUNC website will be up and operational next week. Program information, curriculum and initial submission applications will be available there.
